Morning on the ridge is soflty layered and quietly mysterious. In this artwork I ‘turned up’ the colour pop of the sky to offset the scraggly trees and muted colour palette in the foreground. I enjoyed adding in the boundary fence and little details like the wonky sign - a familiar sight across many parts of Australia. This piece invites the viewer to linger a little more - to discover the smaller details after the initial pull of colour.
